Quel primo passo, la cruda storia di Vagamondo / That first step, the raw story of Vagamondo

Con lacrime di gioia infinita negli occhi posso finalmente annunciare al mondo la nascita del mio libro autobiografico “Quel primo passo, la cruda storia di Vagamondo”:

Molti vorrebbero cambiare vita, ma pochi riescono a farlo. Non è facile spezzare le catene della paura e compiere quel primo e solitario passo controcorrente. Uscire dagli schemi sociali del modello di vita che ci insegnano non è facile, ma a volte è fondamentale per la sopravvivenza. In questa cruda autobiografia racconto come sono riuscito ad arrivare a compiere quel tanto agognato passo per uscire da un buco nero adolescenziale fatto di tossicodipendenza, violenza, criminalità e prostituzione. Descrivo l’abisso di rabbia e inquietudine in cui mi trovavo negli anni in cui mi sono perso nel marcio dei problemi di una grande città. Approfondisco argomenti tabù come le droghe, attraverso la testimonianza di chi ne ha abusato per tanti anni. Racconto il viaggio solitario come terapia dopo l’ennesima overdose, appena ventenne. Lo strazio interiore per trovare un po’ di pace, con diverse ricadute dolorose. Condivido la devastante, ma illuminante, esperienza della malattia e della morte di mia madre. Da questo dolore è nata una potente scintilla di vitalità, e amor proprio, che mi ha spinto verso una profonda rivoluzione interiore, che mi ha portato a riuscire a trasformare la mia esistenza in una straordinaria favola senza fine. Percorrendo 200.000 km attraverso tutti i continenti, senza prendere aerei, ho trovato la mia missione sociale: cerco di avvicinarmi a chi vive tenebre simili a quelle del mio passato, per trascinarli qui fuori, a respirare un po’ di armonia e amore per la vita.

With tears of infinite joy in the eyes I can finally announce to the world the birth of my autobiographical book "That first step, the brutal story of Vagamondo":

Many would like to change their lives, but few manage to do so. It is not easy to break the chains of fear and take that first and lonely step against the current. Getting out of the social patterns of the life model they teach us is not easy, but sometimes it is fundamental for survival. In this crude autobiography, I tell how I managed to take that much-needed step to get out of a teenage black hole made of drug addiction, violence, crime and prostitution. I describe the abyss of anger and restlessness in which I found myself in the years when I got lost in the problems of a big city. I delve into taboo subjects such as drugs, through the testimony of those who have abused them for many years. I tell the lonely journey as therapy after yet another overdose, just twenty years old. The inner agony to find some peace, with several painful relapses. I share the devastating but illuminating experience of my mother's illness and death. From this pain was born a powerful spark of vitality, and self-love, which pushed me towards a deep inner revolution, which led me to be able to transform my existence into an extraordinary endless tale. Traveling 200,000 km across all continents, without taking planes, I found my social mission: I try to get closer to those who live in darkness similar to that of my past, to drag them out here, to breathe a little harmony and love for life.
